Rise of Will making in 2019?
The Kings Court Trust announced in their second annual report in 2018 that under half (45%) of the adult population in Great Britain have a Will. This figure has increased by 6% compared to last year when the proportion was 39%. This is encouraging as it shows that the public realise the importance of having a Will in place and hopefully more and more people will make a Will in 2019.
If you already have a will, well done. Encourage those around you to do the same. Don’t forget to have frequent reviews and especially when there are changes in the family dynamics.
If your circumstances change:
• business growth or disposal,
• partnership commenced or ended,
• cross option agreement,
• marriage or divorce,
• receiving an inheritance,
• growing family,
• infant children,
• foreign property,
• death or impairment of an executor, trustee or guardian.
Any of these will require a will review.
